Although hair loss is most commonly caused by your genes and hormonal inbalance, I’ve read that certain kinds of medications are known to cause people to lose hair as well. Hence, I decided to look around to see if I can find the kinds of drugs that might affect your hair.

Among the many drugs known to cause hair loss, Antidepressants are one of the most common. Drugs and medication that directly affect the hormonal system of the user like birth control pills and steroids also cause hair loss. Hair loss can also occur when gout medication is taken or when someone has consumed a high dose of vitamin A.

Here are some websites with a list of some types drugs that might cause hair loss. If you are taking these medication and suspect they might be causing you to lose hair, please consult your physician before taking any action. Please remember that I am not a medical practitioner and if in doubt, always consult a professional.
