Many men will experience balding at some stage of their lives. While more radical solutions like hair transplants and drug therapy are always an option, a simpler method to deal with baldness could simply be to select a suitable hairstyle that brings out the look you are going for.

If you’re looking for tips on ways to style thinning hair, I did some research and summarised a few good options.

Leave A Longer Fringe
For men with receding hairlines, an option is to leave a slightly longer fringe at the front to cover the receding portion. Your stylist should leave the hair at the temples longer in order for a balanced look.

For a trendier look, you can even consider wear your hair at medium length with longer bangs over the forehead, while the sides and back blend with similar lengths.

Keep It Short
If longer hair isn’t your style, opt for a short hairstyle. As short hair always gives the impression of being thicker, it is especially suited to men balding at the crown of the head. Having a close-cropped hairstyle also minimises the obvious contrast between where there is and isn’t hair.

Choose The Right Hairbrush
Another simple styling technique is to use hairbrushes with long, well-spaced bristles to add volume to visibly thinning hair. Use the hairbrush to brush hair from the root of the hair outwards. To accentuate the effect, you might want to use a small amount of your favorite mousse or gel before you begin brushing your hair.

Use Volume-Boosting Styling Products
While dry shampoos and hairsprays do not help to restore hair loss, they can help to add texture and volume to your hair. Applying a small amount of any volume-boosting hairstyling product after a shower or before going to bed could work wonders in giving your hair a full, healthy look.
